LusoSpace has sealed a significant deal with AAC Clyde Space in a momentous stride toward advancing Portugal’s space capabilities. This project, backed by the Portuguese Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR), aims not only to strengthen the national space capacity but also to generate commercially viable opportunities.

The ambitious plan of LusoSpace involves the development and deployment of a constellation of 12 satellites, each equipped with crucial VDES payloads. This constellation is set to revolutionize maritime connectivity through the VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) communication network, promising seamless data transfer rates, improved integrity, and a promising future for maritime users.
