Optical AIT Engineer

The optical AIT engineer will be part of a multi-skilled team and participate in several space-related projects as well as in the elaboration of proposals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optical integration, alignment and test activities in ISO 8 and ISO 5 cleanrooms
  • Alignment procedures using theodolites, autocolimators, laser trackers, wavefront sensors, interferometers, etc;
  • Elaboration of technical reports;
  • Support in the elaboration of proposals.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bs in Physics Engineering, or similar, Ms preferred, PhD welcomed;
  • Previous professional experience of at least 2 years in this area is considered a plus;
  • Understanding of Optics including optical raytracing and radiometric calculations;
  • Knowledge in alignment and optical measurement technologies;
  • Knowledge in optomechanics;
  • Laboratory experience in optical assemblies, tests and measurements;
  • LabView and Phyton experience is welcome;
  • Some experience in Solidworks or equivalent is welcome;
  • Willingness to do hands-on work, and to support our off-site work for AIT campaigns;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment;
  • Good spoken and written English;
  • Ability to elaborate technical reports;
  • Good communication skills.
