Junior Optical Engineer

The junior optical engineer will be part of an optical engineering team and will participate in several space-related projects and in the elaboration of proposals. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Support in the concept and design of optical systems; 
• Support in optical analysis and tolerance analysis; 
• Contact with suppliers; 
• Elaboration of technical reports; 
• Support in the elaboration of proposals. 

Qualification & Experience: 

• Bs in Physics Engineering, or similar, Ms preferred, PhD welcomed; 
• Previous work experience is welcome; 
• Understanding of Optics including optical raytracing and radiometric calculations;  
• Basic or theoretical knowledge in alignment and optical measurement technologies; 
• Phyton experience is welcome; 
• Some experience in raytracing SW, as Zemax or equivalent; 
• Laboratory experience in optical assemblies, tests and measurements is welcome; 
• Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment; 
• Good spoken and written English; 
• Ability to elaborate technical reports; 
• Good communication skills.
