Optical Engineer

The optical engineer will be part of an optical engineering team and will participate in several space-related projects and in the elaboration of proposals.

Key responsibilities include:
· Concept and design of optical test plans and procedures;
· Selection of the appropriate measurement equipment;
· Execution of optical integration and test activities;
· Elaboration of technical reports;
· Support in the elaboration of proposals.

Qualification & Experience:
· Bs in Physics Engineering, or similar, Ms preferred, PhD welcomed;
· Previous professional experience of at least 2 years in this area is considered a plus;
· Understanding of Optics including optical raytracing and radiometric calculations;
· Basic or theoretical knowledge in alignment and optical measurement technologies;
· LabView and Phyton experience is welcome;
· Some experience in raytracing SW, as Zemax or equivalent;
· Laboratory experience in optical assemblies, tests and measurements is welcome;
· Willingness to do hands-on work, and to support our off-site work for alignment campaigns;
· Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment;
· Good in spoken and written English;
· Ability to elaborate technical reports;
· Good communication skills.
